Us sitting on the floor with our legs out and open and Holly sat in between with our legs either side of her and her back facing us. Our legs are there to stop her from tipling over.
Then we have to get her to try and reach for a toy infront of her and to centre her hands.
She has a tendency to throw her self backwards, so hopefully the forward stimulation will help to stop that. Once she has got the forward balance thing we have got to teach her to put her hands to the side to help her balance.
Never realised how much work went into one position...LOL You really took it for granted when your other kids were little... GEEESSSHHHH ;D
She is doing really well.

We didn't really get any advice on getting Lisa to sit, They just said they'd lend us a chair to help support her. By the time they found one she was already sitting up!!
Well good luck with the sitting Holly, xx

Does Holly have one of those play rings??
I swear by it, as long as you don't leave her in there for too long at a time.
I also got one of those Bumbo chairs, they're a bit expensive for what they are, but really good for strengthening their muscles, and can be used as soon as they can hold their heads up.
I'm gonna use it for bub's next, so at least I'll get my moneys worth!!

We have just borrowed a ring off a mate. Not tried her in it yet, she is still far to wobbly. She is really trying though and growls at herself in frustration..LOL

Hehe, I'd love to see that!
She'll get there..
I can't remember how old Lisa was when we put her in it. I think I bought it for her for Christmas so she would have been......8 months.
Aww Rilith, everytime I see the picture of Holly, I can't help but smile.......she is soo cute!!!

Thanks JoJo.
I like her too ;D
I'm not going to rush Holly, I will encourage don't get me wrong, but I will let her do things in her own time. Like people always say...
They will get there in the end ;D

There is no point, like you say Rilith, in rushing.
It doesn't get you there any faster, and just leads to frustration.
I think we're all doing really well on here.

Yeah we are ;D I feel for some of the 1st time mums on Bounty. Its such a rush to get them to be the 1st to roll over, or the first to talk and walk. They concentrate on what they want them to do and then they have missed what their LO's have done IYKWIM...LOL I am enjoying having a baby for a bit longer this time. the boys were walking at 10 months so they weren't babies for long

Yes, Charlotte was an early starter....and being my 1st, I always pushed her.
But with Nicole, I was much more laid backi, she didn't walk till she was 16 months old!! It was lovely!!

LOL Yeah. I was the same with Rob. You can't help it can you...tee hee.
How to show the world you are a good mummy, make your kids walk and talk quicker than everyone else. but then you spend all day shouting " SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP!!"

We are still practicing. She is doing OK with it. She is only just starting to hold toys and feeling the texture of things.
We are trying to encourage her to reach out for things now.
