hi ,i looked through and couldnt find this one so i have added it for you all... i use it all the time ..you can go into a forum leave your querey for a sign and such like and some mums or tutors will give you an answer.....handy for when you want to find out a sign and its not in your little books you get... www.makaton.org/

TOAST.......ryt hand on left as if cutting a loaf ...then use the sign for hot which is pulling your hand side ways away from the side of your mouth to form a fist....
i hope that makes sense (welcome to tracys makaton corner)....lol
that is 2 signs not one continous one!!!!

how do u use makaton soo easily i foregt sometimes and dd looks at me like i have 2 heads when i do remember to do it lol she isonly 6 months tho

michelle it will come .....you may not need it.....i dont sign to cory unless teaching him a new sign....he understands all i say and ask....he just uses it to us ... in the beginning where you and kimberley are now instead of saying 'ta ta' like you would.. say it and do the sign as well(hand on chin and bring it out forward a short way) she will soon pick it up hope i dont sound patronizing!!!

no not at all, we have just been giving the sign for mum/dad/food/drink/sleep/bath thats all ive heard people talk about a book with signs what is that?

michelle you can get all the books and dvds from the makaton website thats on the above posts plus if kimberley is seeing a speech therapist they will be able to give you print outs....

Hi all Have you ever heard of singing hands they do sign language to songs they have 2 Cds out and they supply you with a book so that you can learn the signs as you sing the songs easy way of picking it up We saw them live at xmas at a DS party and they are bringing out a DVD very soon the website is www.singinghands.co.uk/Gemma absolutely loves it and signs along very well to it worth every penny keeps her quiet for hours she even climbs inside the TV cabinet to get closer to the speakers and when we play it on the computer she comes crawling over like a greyhound out of a trap.
