Hi everyone Tina's mum here.
Some great news.
Tina gave birth to twin boys yesterday.
Corbie weighed in at 4lb 8oz
Lucas weighed in at 3lb 8oz
Tina had a natural birth in the end and mum and babies are doing really well. They are in incubators but are breathing unaided and getting lots of cuddles off of mummy and daddy.
As for me I'm just having a nice glass of wine, as I've been looking after Brodie for a few days and I'm worn out what with all the excitement and everything!
Tina and Paul are chuffed to bits and nan and grampy too!
It seems only yesterday we were in the hospital when Brodie was born and he seemed such a big boy when he walked in to see mummy today, I was so proud of him I had tears in my eyes!

Hi
Thought I'd better give you all update on twins! They're gorgeous.
Tina's been home for about a week but the twins are still in special care. They're both doing really well. They're out of incubators now and in cots and being fed expressed milk through tubes. Apparantly today Corbie had a little breastfeed but Lucas was too sleepy!
They were both weighed today and Corbie now weighs 4lb 12oz and Lucas 3lb 12oz.
We're not sure if they're identical, they look very similar apart from Lucas obviously looks quite a bit smaller than Corbie.
Tina's been going to the hospital for a few hours a couple of times a day to give them their feeds and have cuddles. I can't wait for a cuddle but at the moment its only parents who can do that.
Brodie's being a really good boy, he's only seen pictures of babies, as we think he would probably wreck all the equipment in special care! (bull in a china shop comes to mind) LOL
Tina's very busy at the moment but I'm sure as soon as she can she will put some piccies on.
Will keep you updated xx

Oh thanks Lesley....what would we do without you lol!
I can't wait to see pics of them.
I know what you mean about bull in a china shop lol...can you imagine ?lol.
It's great that they are in cots, I suppose it's just a case of them demanding food and taking it now then?
Tell Tina to take it easy, and when she's settled with the kids, I'm sure she'll be back on when she has a minutes peace.x

Thanks for keeping us updated.
I'm a twin (identical) and seemingly I was the bigger one, my poor mum 3 days overdue, I was 7lb 4oz and my sis claude was 6lb 11oz!!!
Glad they are both thriving, hopefully they'll be home soon
Pass on our best wishes

Gosh Lizzy, your poor mum carrying all that weight! My mum (Tina's grandmother is a twin, she has twin brother), so we shouldn't have been too surprised that Tina's had twins. xx

It is just a case of getting them feeding ok, fattening them up and making sure they maintain their temperature. Sometimes they get a little bit cold, but only to be expected really, they haven't got any fat to keep them warm!

Lovely to hear that the boys are doing so well Lesley. Once they get to grips with feeding they will soon be strong enough to go home. Can't wait to see their pictures. Tell Tina to take it easy and we look forward to hearing from her when things settle down for her x
