we went to bch last tuesday, they are really pleased with how well Charli is doing at the moment, they think that she is doing so well that they want to wait a while longer before they do all the repairs to her heart, Dr Dhillion wants to see her in 6 mths, so really pleased with that, they also found another small problem with her heart know im not very up on medical things he mentioned a duct? something that normally closes at birth? Thought oi would wait until our paperwork came back and would then google it to try and understand it a bit better, he did say he would sort that out at the same time and we should not worry about it, he adviced us to keep a check on Charli's weight as she has not put on any weight for 2mths still weighing 17lb 3 oz, but overall really pleased with her x

Really pleased she is doing so well. Gemma had that duct and it didnt close at birth so they just closed it when she had her heart op. There seems to be a lot of little ones on here that dont seem to be gaining weight, Gemma is the same she has hardly put any weight on for ages. I think children with Downs are slower to put weight on. At least it means we have our babies for a bit longer. lol xx

Hi, glad to hear Charli is doing well. Brodie also had the duct that didn't close at birth, it didn't really cause him any problems but they decided to operate and close it just before he was two. x x

Hi, good to hear that Charli is doing so well, and you can put off surgery for a bit longer. Dr Dhillon is nice isn't he, he did George's cardiac catheter but was on holiday when he had his actual surgery done so we never saw him again. Is Charli's reflux any better now? Is that why she's not gaining weight? (maybe she's just going to be petite like you). x

Claire: its hard to tell at the moment how her reflux is, as she is sick after everything at the mo because of her bad chest, but yes i think that could be why, but like you said im not veryt tall so perhaps she will take after me lol x
