Jack had speech therapy today first time since about October.
When the appointment was made they asked me to bring a snack with me so that they could monitor his eating.
I brought ham sandwiches with me. Ursula the Speech Therapist look at me and ask me was I sure that I wanted to give it to Jack. He gets them all the time Isaid. She said that the ham was not even cut. It never is I said.
Anyway Jack started eating and she started laughing and said that the battery was done in her camcorder because if it wasn't she wanted to film Jack eating the ham sandwich as she had never seen a 17 month old DS child eating like that before. She said that it was fantastic.
I was so cockie at this stage I said you think that is good you want to see him eating a burger!! which he can by the way.
She told me to keep up the good work with his eating. I said that I cant take the credit for that he is watching everything that Ben is eating and doing and he wants it. He done it himself.
I am just over the moon today you can imagine. ;D

i started of giving Jack the crust of toast and cheese strings and them just progressed from there. Now I just cut sausages and fish fingers and thing like than in half and let him eat away.
You will know when Kimmy is ready Michelle.
I know that Jack would eat 24/7 is you let him i have been told to be careful that we do not over feed him and at the moment he is underweight for a DS child

Michelle, I think George was about 7-8 months when he started with finger food, he loves to eat finger food but I struggle to get his dinners down him unless they are pureed. Kimmy sounds just like George for throwing her food, he loves to throw his food on the floor, he also likes to fill his mouth with milk then lean over the side of his highchair and let it all dribble out of his mouth onto the floor - he just sits there watching it lol. You can;t help but laugh can you xx

Thats rubbish about not knowing when they are full - Caleb won't eat if he's not hungry. He purses his lips and sticks them out! And he likes some tastes and not others.
