Well we had George's referral appointment today for his 'Bilateral Undescended Testes' and the surgeon says he will need surgery Fortunately its not booked until january 3oth - was hoping it wouldn;t be before christmas as last year was spent at BCH. The op will have to be done at Alder Hey though as they won't do it at our local hospital because of his heart x

They are booking him a bed for the night but said that if he is ok he can come out the same day! I'm a bit worried about that though as when he had his heart surgery they couldn't get him off the oxygen and the surgery will be about 1 and half hours so I think I'd rather they kept him in to make sure he is ok x

Sorry to hear george needs to have an op but i'm sure he's a tough little guy and will bounce straight back. At least you can enjoy xmas first. Corbie went to dr's about his 'bits' today and she wasn't sure what it was so she sent us to the childrens hospital to see a surgeon. Anyway turns out its a hydrocele which is where there is a hole from the stomache which hasn't closed and means fluid can pass through making his 'bits' swollen. It's quite common in prem babies and think it will probably close on it's own but if it's still like it when he's one he will have to have an op too. x

poor little George - but he's much older bigger and stronger than when he had his heart op and I'm sure he'll bounce right back and you'll all forget and move on in no time!

Tina, I hope Corbie is ok, I've not heard of that before. Lots of time til he's one for it to close xx
