Hi there
Don't know if anybody else got this email but I thought i would post it
Hi. My name is Peter Elliott, I have a son age 20 (David) and David has Down's syndrome.
10 years ago I founded the Down's Syndrome Research Foundation which is a registered charity in the UK.
I am an Engineer (not a doctor) but when David was born 20 years ago he changed our lives. My eldest son decided to become a doctor and he is a physician working in ER at a hospital in Colorado.10 years ago my daughter also decided to become a doctor and she is a new doctor working here in the UK. So our family has a keen interest in seeing more progress in healthcare for children with Down's syndrome. There really are great opportunities in medicine that will result in a Brighter Future for all of our children.
Our charity has done a lot to get more research underway. We initiated the big research project to investigate antioxidants that was conducted at the Institute of Child Health. The DSA provided a great deal of the funding and we are now waiting for the results.
This message is to tell you about the important conference we are holding in London at the Institute of Child Health.
March 31st for Medical Professionals and
April 1st 2006 for Parents and Medical Professionals.
This is a meeting that parents will find very interesting and helpful.
Parents can attend for free - because we have a grant to cover that cost, so this is like a £55.00 gift to each parent.
So please visit our website www.dsrf.co.uk and read about the wonderful people WHO ARE COMING FROM THE USA TO MEET OUR PARENTS.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet some real experts and ask them questions.
I hope to see you there, if you think it is too far to travel please remember these doctors will have travelled thousands of miles to meet and talk to you. So what they have to say is really important and worth the effort of making the trip to London.
Please contact us if you need further information. I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely
Peter Elliott
