Scary!! Me, and Craig (danielsdaddy) have been doing (and still are) a MASSIVE sponsored slim to raise money for the Downs Syndrome Educational Trust which is based by us in Portsmouth. We had 196 pounds (14 stone!!!) to lose and we've lost nearly 10 stone between us so far. Anyway... we are doing it through Weightwatchers and a lady heard about the slim through them - she's from Meridian TV which is a local news station. She spent over 2 hours this afternoon filming and speaking to us about Daniel and the slim, and it should be going out on Wednesday eve after 6pm.
If you are southern, then you might get it!! I'm so nervous about seeing myself on tele!
We have a website too called www.sponsoredslim.co.uk which gives loads of info about us and the charity and our efforts and I think we can put a link to the tvs site on there so you can see the program if you want!!
Thanks everyone - Ive woken up so nervous this morning and keep thinking of things that I should have said! Meridian is on ITV, and as far as I know it should be on Wednesday on their 6pm show. I'm not sure how far the meridian region goes in the south though. xxx
You didnt miss it!! Apparently there was a breaking story that nudged us off, but we have been promised it will be on tomorrow (Thurs) Another day of butterflies in my tum for me! Thanks for looking out for it! xx
Right - will watch tonight - I guess that breaking story was the one about the bats !- I'm sure your story will be more interesting. I couldn't believe they sent a reporter to the spot where the bat was found on a drain cover!
I saw it ! You both look fantastic & you've raised so much money. Daniel was such a star- he looks such a cheeky fellow, you must be so proud of him and one day someone will tell him what you did and he'll be so proud of you both. It was a lovely interview , so positive. Well done to you all.
Thank you very much - we were really pleased with it too! The reporter wants to do another story when we get to our goal weights as well. I'm just excited that Fred Dineage mentioned our website!! If anyone wants to see it, its on www.itv/meridian.com and go to Meridian south and local news for today - its the last story so you can skip the beginning on the program!!
