I'm thinking of putting Henri into a toddler bed but don't know if it is too soon, so I was just wondering when you all did the change.

Hi Anita, Harry was 2 yrs old when we moved him out of a cot - I was lying in bed one morning and heard this massive thud, he'd climbed out of his cot and fallen on the floor so realised it was definitely time! He slept on a futon for a while because I was worried about him falling out of a big bed but now has a big bed with one of those safety guards on the side to stop him rolling out How old is Henri now? xx

Hello! We are in the process of doing right now!! Daniel could climb/fall out of his cot, so we thought we'd give it a go... going well... for the first few days he didnt realise he could climb out (its a cot bed, so very low) but he's just figured it out now, so I find him reading books on the floor in the morning in his room!! I'm sure in a little while he will realise he can get out of his room and go exploring...!! He has slept well though, and still (touch wood!!) goes to sleep with no probs. xx

I'm about to do it with Caleb as we will need the cot for the new baby! Don't want him to feel shoved out. He also keeps getting his legs wedged in the bars and I'd love to let him wake up, get out of bed and entertain himself in his nice spangly new bedroom, at the moment he just lays in the cot shouting till we go and fetch him!

We converted Jacks cot into a bed at Christmas, he is 2 (and a half!) he did really well and by the 2nd night he wasn't falling out! now he loves being able to climb in - and out! by himself xx
