Hiya,
Long time no come on.
My apologies, 4 kids defo keep you busy, also moving house too.
Anyway back to my question, does anybody get the mobility component of DLA when there child is 3 even though they can walk.
Cameron who is 3 today can walk but is a very poor walker, we end up having to carry him or put him in buggy.
Let me know

Hi Lizzy, not suprised you don't get on here much with 4 kids! We applied for mobility for Brodie when he was 3 as he was a poor walker but like Nikki we weren't succesful either. Brodie still walks at a snails pace now, the other day it took us 45 minutes to walk home from school when it would normally take anyone else 5 - 10 minutes! You're supposed to be able to get it if it takes them longer to walk a certain distance than other children of the same age - well if that it isn't significantly longer then i don't know what is! It also says that you can get it if walking is causing them pain, well Brodie will often walk a little way and then sit down on the floor crying but how am i supposed to know if thats him just being stubourn or if he really is in pain cause he can't speak to tell me! lol Never mind we're gonna try again when he's 5 cause i think then the rules are slightly different and we should at least get the lower rate. You might as well apply now anyway cause the worst they can say is no, perhaps you could get a dr or paed to wright something to support you application? Anyway glad you're all well, good luck with the move! x x

Thanks, have applied anyway.
Got turned down for blue badge, in the middle of appealing it again.
Women at the Scottish Office got an earful about life being hard enough without having to fight every step of the way. I'm so close to going to my MSP!
I'm so fed up fighting
Arggggghhhhhhhhhh
