its probably a phase i know!! but its driving me nuts! Lucy always slept well unless poorly/teething etc. But now without fail every single night she is waking, being generally grumpy and taking about 1-2 hours to drop off again. Her sleep (when she is asleep) is not peaceful, she is fidgeting moaning snoring hi pitched wimpering and totally unsettled. She then wakes again around 5ish following the same pattern. I don't make a fuss, i don't give her anything, no cuddles (unless screaming) . HELP im sooooo tired.. i have checked that its not teeth temperatures etc.....

Hi Karen. Sorry i have no suggestions other than what you are doing. Just wanted to say i hope that it resolves itself very soon. Its so awful when they are distressed and you don't know how to help.

well i took her to the drs as she really hasn't been herself. \Turns out its her tonsils, not infected, but enlarged causing her to snore and wake herself up all the time. He also said to watch out for sleep apnea, Dr said keep an eye on her weight/eating and if anything changes to go back. does anyone have any experience of this and what if anything i can do?

Hi Jenna went through the same thing, waking every night about 6 times, she would sit up in her sleep and do all the things you describe. I eventually got a sleep study done at the local children's hospital and it turned out she had moderate sleep apnea and enlarged tonsils. Just after she turned 3 she got her tonsils and adenoids out and she sleeps like an angel now. good luck, as its a nightmare being so tired and having to give 100% the next day. Gx
