Rachel has her glasses, now all we need to do is persuade her to wear them. Day 1 hasn't been to bad, she wore them for about 1/2 hr this morning doing some S & L games & then watching Something Special. This afternoon we went for a walk & she wore them for about 20 mins & this evening she wore them for another 20 mins reading books before bedtime - so all in all a good start.
I expect she is lulling us into a false sense of security , she'll probably stamp on them tomorrow !
Sounds like it's going well, must be making some difference to her vision if she's willing to wear them. Brodie won't have his on for 5 mins but the optician told us not to force it at the moment as it's only borderline whether or not he needs them. Hope you continue to make good progress and don't get through too many pairs of glasses in the meantime! x
Hi Susan, Hope Rachel is keeping her glasses on a lot more now. I think our kids look so cute with their glasses on . Jenna has had hers for a year and a half now and she has no problem keeping them on... thank goodness, as I remember the early days were a nightmare.. gx
It's still going quite well, Rachel is wearing the glasses for about 5 hours a day , kind of in short spurts of time , she is doing very well & even better they're not too bent or broken yet ! I agree our kids do look very cute in their specs.. I caught her the other day trying to push them up on top of her head , cos that's where Jane wears her sunglasses!!
im glad its all going well with the glasses...cory kept his on as he could see diddly with out them..lol.. wot i did do though which i think helped was i wore mine as well so he didnt think he was the only one..as you know lil kids wanna be like mum/dad and i have told a few people thats wot i did and they have used it to and it worked..xx
