Yay got Saul to eat some pasta again. He used to only eat baby food puds, then yogs and heinz sausage and spagetti etc. But then when he went onto more proper foods he refused to even try pasta. I make a pasta dish for my lunch quite often, thats just pasta with any sauce, covered in crushed crisps and melted cheese top. Saul always wants to eat mine and happily will but not his own. Today i made his own one, and put it in the same type bowl as mine and he actually ate some of it. so might be getting more adventurous

Great news!!!
Not looking forward to starting Lisa on 'proper' food.
She loves all the Heinz mothers own jars, even eating the 7 month stuff which I'm really pleased about.
Well done Saul!!

There's no rush Beckasmum, I didn't start weaning Lisa until she was 6 months. I was a bit worried she wouldn't take them too well, but she has done brilliantly. Our speach and language therapist is well impressed with her.
She also advised us not to give her any lumpy food until she had learnt to roll, (apparently babies don't know how to chew until they have mastered that art) Something I never knew before!!
I tell you, I've learnt soo much since having Lisa, even though I already have 2 older dd's.

thanx jojo I know there isn't no need to rush but I feel that if I get her weaned on to solids she may gain an extra bit of weight honestly she may ber five months but hersize is the equivelant to that of a month old baby.

Oh bless her.
My friends ds has a feeding tube (not so often now) But as soon as he started solids the weight piled on, he looks like a different child now.
Is there any reason why you haven't started her yet?

TBH If it wasn't for having 2 older kids, I prolly wouldn't have started weaning Holly when I did.
With being on the high energy milk they don't get as hungry do they? I know holly isn't, she is still only on 125mls every 4 hours which is just 4oz of milk. And goes 12 hours at night without a feed!! So she only has 4 maybe 5 bottles a day
