We took George for his Thyroid function test again today. It was awful. They tried his foot first but no go, then his wrists and eventually managed to get some out of the second one. He was hysterical, i've never seen him so upset. It makes you feel terrible doesn't it. When they are prescribed thyroid drugs how often do they check them after that? x

Hi all. I took George to see his paed yesterday for the 6 monthly review. She'd got his thyroid results in and they were the same as last time. She said she'd spoken to someone about the results and they said it was something to do with the new machine and alot had had to be retested like George. So they are putting his results down to a temperamental new machine and doing it again in 9 months as they don't actually think his thyroid is underactive now. I'm a bit p.....d off as he was so distressed having to give blood and now it looks like he never actually needed to go for the second test! x
