Milestone or general rambling, but I think to me its a milestone!! 2 Years ago today my gorgeous little Gemma was just about to go down for her open heart surgery. Then 3 days later she had her second open heart surgery. When I think back at how poorly she was (and how brave she was) and I look at her now I have nothing but pride and love for her. She has come so far in 2 years, leaps and bounds since the heart surgery, and I just wanted to share how proud we are of her. For anyone whose little one has got to have surgery it is scarey and a worrying time but the difference in your little one will be amazing. It will definitley be worth it in the end xxxx

course it's a milestone debs and i think it's a huge one ! i feel the exactly the same as you, i could not have any more love or be any prouder of my little man than i am/do. sometimes i listen at the gp's and clinics and here parents moaning , oh they got this or had that and they've been so ill, don't know how we managed, and i think to myself, they dont know how lucky they are to have not had to go through the heart surgeries, and have the many obstacles that our babes have/will have So i totally agree with you debs love shell, charlie and jasmin xxxxxxx

charlie's was just over 3 years ago and i still remember every little detail which is quite unusual for me, it was our worst ever month,we nearly lost him twice with anaesthetic problems, but once again another strong and determined little man shone through and came out shining . love shell, charlie and jasmin

Yes its definately a milestone. You can;t help but feel emotional when its the anniversary, i was exactly the same when it was George's 1 year anni just before christmas, you kind of relive it don;t you. Our little ones are just amazing with what they go through and they still keep smiling. It really makes you appreciate everything they do xxx

We also nearly lost Gemma when she failed to come off the ventilator and she went down to the catheter lab for investigations, when she came back up they told us how close we came to losing her and also she needed more open heart surgery as a matter of urgency. Still gives me goose bumps when I think about it. But you are right they are such little fighters and they all have such amazing smiles , so much so I know Gemma gets away with far too much, how can I tell her off when she beams from ear to ear. Im sure I will regret it as she gets older when she is running riot around me. lol. xx
