hi everyone, charlie's speech is very limited but the same as cory signs away like mr tumble lol ,his only speech is hiya, mama, dad , ta and baba . we were stripping them both off for the bath and charlie started signing bath then he just said "ath " we just kept asking him were he was going and he kept repeating it.we will obviously have to work on the "b" xxxxxxxxxx

his speech is as good as Camerons.
Back in october Cameron learned the word "that" he was very precise with it.
you would say what do you want and he would say that and point to random object or food, this went on for a couple of weeks, then one saturday morning we said what do you want and he did the sign for toast and said tst, he clapped and cheered and rushed down the stairs to get his toast on, now he has forgotten the word that and only wants toast when you ask him!!!

That's brilliant, well done Charlie! Brodie's the same with a lot of his words, he'll say the middle bit but not the first letter even though he can make the sound that should go at the begining, it's like its too much work to put it all together! I'm sure they'll all get there in the end though x

we started makaton when he was about 18 months cos he was really poorly till then ,and we justy used basic signs ,then about a year ago he started watching something special with mr tumble and loved it and he just picked signs up really quickly, but i heard it's a good idea to start off as early as you can.charlie can do about 50 signs now and he can sign them and understands what they are, although sometimes we have to prompt him otherwise he will just sit and grunt at us and we have to try and figure out what he wants typical man lol lots of love shell, charlie and jasmin xxxxxxxx

We started with Brodie when he was about one, but i suppose the sooner you start the better really. It becomes automatic after a while, i've started signing to the twins now and they are six months and i even find myself signing to other peoples children as it's just habit now! lol
