I have been telling myself for ages to let Holly feed herself with a spoon, and naughty protective Mummy kept putting it off, and saying she isn't ready for it. Well Tea time today Mummy said, Sod it, Time for Holly to start growing up and for Mummy to stop treating her like a baby, cus she is nearly 2 now and can't keep using the excuse that she has Downs. She is an independant little girl like any 2 year old... Soooooo Little Baby Holly Bolly is now all growd up into a big girl fed herself her own tea. Some mashed spuds, all by herself and had only a teeny bit of help off Mummy at first to show her how to get the food on the spoon Very proud of my Big Girl

Thats great, she sounds like she's doing so well. I bought George a dish and spoon set that both have suction pads on the bottom to stick them to the high chair (George likes to drop everything on the floor) but when I tried him with it the other day he just got the food out with his hands! Think I'll wait a while before I try again then hopefully he will be like Holly xx

Well done Holly, that's brilliant. It certainly makes things easier at meal times but just means a lot more mess to clean up afterwards, lol x
