Hey everyone - was just wondering if anyone could reccommend any really good toys that their lil ones have loved. Especially any cause and effect toys that do stuff when batted, tugged or pulled? Thanks!

Holly has a Vtech merry go round thingy. You put the balls in the top and push it down and all the lights go off.
Or a great fave and she loves this. Go to your local "hiking" shop and get the insulation foil. Its fab. Its crinkly shiny and they love it. Its pretty cheap too. Holly will play AGES with it.
Holly likes books too, we sit and help her to turn the pages.
Erm...
Her actually fave toy is a sealed bag of crisps... LOL Preferable a shiny pack... LMAO

Lisa's favs are the vtech push along walker, she likes the bit on the front which comes off so they can sit and play with it. It's got flashy lights music and swirly bits and buttons.
When she was younger she loved rattles and scrunchy sounding toys (like Holly's crisp packets lol)

Thanks! Love the crisp packet idea! (i could eat the crisps!!) Daniel is just over 3 months old and is just starting to bat and grap hanging objects, but only if they do something - he's gets bored of the ones that just 'hang'!

Little mirrors are good, or get a selection of cheap pram toys that can clip onto any dangly thing, rather than going out and buying loads of different gyms.
Bells are a good one too, you can get little wrist band things that jingle when you move them. Its good because you can put them on alternate arms or ankles so he has to think about which one he is moving to make the noise.
Lie him on different surfaces too, thats a good stimulation.
Pictures of faces around his cot, with as amany different facial expressions as possible. Black, white and red patterns, they help visual stimulation.
Blooming eck I go on don't I??? LOL

I lOVE the bells idea! Especially because he seems to be doing everything with his left hand at the mo, so it should encourage old lazy righty! Thanks again - I'm off to the shops!

I've just bought Lucy a mirror from ELC. It rolls across the floor and has music and lights. She loves it.
