Well, they werent that pleased, they reckon that she needs to be seen by ENT so she has been referred. Apparently the temps in her ear are very flat, in laymans terms it appears to be glue ear. To be honest she seems to hear everything just fine with us but I suppose they are just taking precautions.

Hi Shirley, Has Grace had any colds lately because glue ear tends to be worse in the winter when our little ones have colds and chest infections. If Grace's hearing normally seems fine then it may just be the after affects of a cold making it worse for her hearing test. Good that they are thorough I guess and ENT should be able to confirm things xx

Grace is constantly bunged up, she seems to always have a runny nose but not the full blown cold, hopefully it will clear up in the better weather xx

glue ear is dead common and kids with ds are very prone to it having littler ear canals. She'll grow out of it and can have grommits or hearing aids temporarily. Of course she may have been acting up for the hearing test people - Caleb does it every time - he grins and plays and chucks stuff but won't LISTEN to anything. (he's got his annual tests next month)
