Hi Danielle In answer to your question about explaining to siblings, I just wanted to mention another book which we found really helpful too (and still do as my 6 year old son often asks to read it), it's called 'We'll Paint the Octopus Red' , written by Stephanie Stuve-Bodeen. It tells the story about a little girl getting to know her baby brother who has down syndrome, it's a lovely book and has Q&A's in the back which help with any questions children may have. Personally, I found that Harrison's older brothers were totally unphased when we explained to them. He was quite poorly when he was born and they were worried then, but they were always able to ask questions and everyone was open and honest so they were fine

HELLO ALL. I HAD A ROUTINE CHECK UP THIS WEEK, I TOLD MY CONSULTANT THAT I DID NOT WANT THE AMNIO AS THE RISKS WERE TOO HIGH, AND SHE TOLD ME I COULD HAVE IT DONE IN THE THIRTY SOMETHING WEEK, THEY WOULD GIVE AN INJECTION TO HELP FREDDIES LUNGS INCASE HE WAS BORN EARLY AS A RESULT. TO HAVE SOMEONE TELL YOU THAT WAS SCARY ENOUGH, SO AGAIN I STUCK WITH MY FIRST DECISION AND WONT HAVE IT. I AM IN CARDIFF NEXT THURS 24TH MAY. WILL LET YOU ALL KNOW HOW THAT GOES. AGAIN THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT. DANIELLEXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
