ive been looking after my friends little boy who is downs we went into town and people have been staring! have they never seen kids with special needs?? i was quite wound up as both were playing up waiting 4 the bus then i heard this woman sayin quite loud that little girl has downs so i looked up n she was pointing at georgia then her fella shouts and the little boy is 2.... i was shaking then they started giving me dirty looks and talking about me probs think there both mine (so what if they were) and thats its my fault there downs (i know quite a few people think kids are downs because of drugs etc!) i have never been so angry in my life! but i managed 2 stay calm and on the bus i made georgia and connor laugh so much 2 make sure they realised they probably have a better life than most kids. then today the bus driver kicked off and wouldnt let me on the bus cuz i wouldnt fold my pram an old fuddy duddy wouldnt move and some fella had a tiny pram with a kid older than georgia in. and wouldnt move. god people pee me off somthin rotten sorry 4 ranting but i needed 2 get it off my chest!!!

You must have the patience of a saint!!!!
I think, if I were you I'd invest in a car hun, if that's what you have to put up with lol!!
Well done for keeping your cool, not sure how I would have reacted, I expect if I had someone to help out with the kids at the time, I'd have probs given them a right mouthful!!

o my word nikki, thats sick of them people whispering and pointing, i hate people like that and the bus driver?!! you'd think he'd have more consideration. i was out for lunch today and saw 3 young girls with their kids, one had a daughter and the other a wee boy, the wee boy is downs and he was the most gorgeous wee thing lol!! only i was just about to leave when they were leaving and the wee monkey stuck out his tongue at everyone he saw!! he must have been about 2!!

OMG Nikki I feel angry for you just thinking about those horrible people in the bus queue. Why do they think they have the right to be so rude and judgemental? You should be proud of yourself though that you kept your head held high and didn't lower yourself to their level. As for the bus driver he shouldn't be in a job dealing with the public. Buses really annoy me coz they never have enough room for pushchairs. I think they should have the front section reserved for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Look what you've started ......

ooooooooh that makes me so MAD!! Can't you complain to someone (and I hate it when big kids are in buggys - I saw one who must have been about 9 in a buggy yesterday - maybe he had some reason for it i suppose but nothing that I could see)
