Well what can I say about my lil princess. What a brave little star she was and has made us all proud of her. Well the surgery failed . They were unable to complete the repair. All they have managed to do is fix the Mitral valve. They haven't sealed any of the holes, due to (Going to try and keep it simple here) the right side of her heart being small, if they sealed the holes it would cause too much blood to go to the lungs and create even worse problems than what she is in now. Down side is... They may never be able to repair it. They will keep an eye on her over the next few years and hopefully there will be huge medical advancements and they can do something in the future, if not it may mean transplant Plus side is, we are home even if she is MEGA cranky, MEGA stressed, and MEGA over-whelmed by it all. But hopefully a few decent nights sleep and some of Mums home cooking (one of them had to like it ) she will soon perk up again. Sprout is still in there and growing nicely. Hopefully still be able to get my home birth now (Although a rest in Hossie sounds real good right now... LOL I am POOPED) If there is anything I have missed and you want to know more, please don't be afraid to ask. You know I am always happy to talk about things. Its good for me too

Hi Rilith,
Really sorry to hear the op didn't go as well as hoped, they've made amazing progress in the past few years regarding surgery for our little ones so who knows what they'll be able to do in another few years time. Holly certainly sounds like a little fighter, bless her. Hope you've all managed to settle in now you're back home and Holly is feeling happier. I always think it feels like absolute bliss being back in my own bed after spending time in hospital! Take care, big hugs xx
