Hi everyone, sorry I havent been on much, been really busy with Grace. She is very out of sorts at the minute and I cant seem to leave her for a minute when she is awake. They have told me this is normal but to be honest we are worried. She is waking during the night screaming and during the day if she sneezes or coughs it is awful. She gets herself into such a tizzy and is very hard to settle. I am struggling with the whole thing about not being able to lift her as we used to due to the chest wound. I just wanna lift her a give her a proper cuddle .
I have rang the ward about her and they have reassured me that this is normal but if we are really worried or she gets worse to call up and they will check her over.
Thanks everyone for your kind words once again,
shirley xxxx

Awww poor little mite. It took Thomas quite a while to be able to cough or sneeze without it hurting him. It does get better tho! It wasn't too long before we could pick him up normally again after his op too. They say 3-6 months but we just waited until Thomas was comfortable and took it carefully. I never did get the hang of the bottom scoop. lol. Give it another couple of months and you'll never know it happened (other than a very neat scar to show off that is!) You've all done great sweetie. Take care. xx

Awwwww poor lil mite. It takes time. You learn a whole new range of giving comfort without feeling like you are mauling them. You are doing fine Shirley. Give yourself a few mins to have a good relief cry now its all done, nothing like releasing all that pent up worry and stress. Trust me you will feel tons better after it.
