have you got a toy library or special needs toy library, i was fortunate enough to be able to borrow a bubble lamp (they are around £500), charlie uses the ordinary rope lights that cost around £20 and he puts them in his mouth and throws them around and his have lasted around 3years, there is also a special needs catlogue available called TFL OR TLF that sells all this equipment but is really expensive, just type in special needs equipment and it should come up ,ebay is another good place, ikea sell some little mirrored squares similar to the curvy mirrors that cost £2 each, have you thought about applying to family fund hope this helps love shell, charlie and jasmin
