Hello there, I havent been on here for ages but really need to find out if others out there are going through the same thing as we are at the moment. Our little darling Georgia is 4 and a half and is absolutely OBSESSED with having doors closed! If you walk in the room and dont close the door behind you she will either shout at you to close it or tut at you and get up and close it herself. It sounds quite funny but it is driving me insane! She also 'locks on' to one specific DVD at times (High School Musical at the mo) and asks for it on constantly! Is it just us? ?!!!!!

Hi, sorry I can't help regarding the doors being closed but as for the dvd thing, my daughter who is 8 now and doesn;t have downs used to be obsessed with the 'high 5' dvd when she was little. She would have had it on all day if I;d let her, it used to drive me mad lol xxxxx

OMG! Thank you so much guys! I know it does solve the behaviour but it makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one! I feel so silly being shouted back for a teeny tiny 4 year old with her hands on her hips saying "Mum!...Door!" I try and tell her not to be silly and to leave it open but she just gets up and closes it herself - with a slam! Shell, I can appreciate that it probably isnt very funny for you going through it but your post made me laugh my head off!

We're the same! Aaron is 4 and a half and loves either slamming doors or running away through them. The front and back doors of the house need to be constantly locked. Unfortunately Aaron is obsessed by the bathroom - Milo went for a dip down the loo - thankfully it had been flushed!! He is obsessed with Tweenies dvd's at the moment and even has a toy Milo who goes everywhere with him!! Lynne x
