Daniel didn't start to do it himself until he was off a bottle and onto a beaker(he was about 1ish I think) He just decided one day that bottles were for babies! ( I fought with him for a week and thought he'd gone off his milk and wasn't drinking, but once we switched to a beaker he was fine!!) Its just a normal tommy tippee plastic spouted thing.
i cant get her to drink from a beaker and she will not tilt bottle up dont know what to do lol im trying finger foods as well i give her a little bowel of toast for her to pick out of and she now holds and eats her rusk without me having to break bits off but this bottle thing is pain in bum lol
rachel began holding her own beaker at just over a year but she will not hold her bottle - she still has abottle of milk before bed 7 she will not hold it herself! We couldn't get Rachel to hold the beakers with the handles but she liked the spouts , we had just tracked down the same make no handles when the little minx promptly picked up the tippee beaker with handles & hasn't looked back since ..... only trouble is she does like to throw it when she's finished ! I think they all do things in their own time what ever we do !
she goes to left it by teat but wound lift to drink just bedns over sucking it noting coming out lol i try and have her on her back to drink shes too nosey tho and rolls over grr this is anoying me lol
Rosie isn't even attempting to hold her bottle and wont drink out of a beaker - she just chews/mouths the spout and spits out the water! She has Only just started finger foods (as only just reaching out to grab things) but has not mastered it at all yet (often ends up up her nose lol) and she wont have lumps. Feeding/drinking has always been a battle with Rosie and although she is so much better i don't think its over yet lol.
Hi, I can;t remember exactly but George was definately over a year old before he would drink from a bottle by himself. Have you tried handles on Kimmy;s bottle, this is what I did with George so he could hold them while i held the bottle til he got the idea. He always used to have his bedtime bottle on our knee having a cuddle then when he was about 18 months he decided he was too big for that and has given it himself ever since. He started with finger foods quite early though at 7 months and in the last few weeks can feed himself with a spoon - my god what a mess lol. Like all babies though they will progress at different stages and fly ahead on some things but not others so I wouldn;t worry she will get there when she is ready ccc
