I have just started Holly. She is 3 next month.
I am trying the good old association trick. She wee's I take her to the toilet, I ask often and take her often. Its only very early days yet (2nd day to be exact... PMSL) I imagine I will be like this for the next couple of months or so.
She is going to the toilet, but holds it in so not actually done anything there yet. Her pelvic floors must be amazing. LOL
We made the decsion to start and now we have we will not stop. She will get there eventually.
The only advice I can offer is to jjust take him regular, even if its every 30 mins, just to get the association going.

Sorry I can't offer any advice but would be grateful for any myself Harry is 4 yrs old and we've been trying for a while now. He wouldn't sit on the potty, absolutely hated it and would have a major strop, so we've just moved straight on to the toilet. At the moment it feels more like I'm training myself to guess when he needs to go, lol. Occasionally he will do a poo or wee in the toilet and we clap and make a big fuss. Our big problem is getting him to communicate when he needs to go, we've got a picture for him to use because he doesn't sign toilet. I guess it's just a case of persevering, would be interested to know how other people have got on

We've been trying for a while now with Brodie (He's just turned 4), i think he knows when he is going but not until it's too late so i don't think he has any control over it at the moment. We've been doing the same as Rilith though just trying to sit him on it regularly in the hope that eventually something will click.
Nikki - Brodie does exactly the same as Georgia, asks to go and then as soon as you sit him down he says finished! I think he's cottoned on to the fact that when he's at someone else's house and he asks for a wee wee it's a good excuse for getting upstairs!
