Can anyone tell me if they know any DS babies/children/adults who rock constantly? Rosie rocks back and forth all the time, wherever she is - both to music and without.
Just wondering if its a DS trait?
She is very happy when doing it and its soooo cute

Just a thought but do you do Row Row your boat with her? its just that George used to rock if he wanted you to do it with him. Now he grabs your thums and practically throws himself backwards and forwards lol xxx

I do do 'row row row your boat' and various other songs but the rocking with Rosie started at Easter when she was 7-8 months old. My sister has one of those glider/rocker chairs and she had Rosie on her lap and rocked back and forth. Every time Su stopped moving the chair Rosie rocked! Now she does it all the time - even in her high chair when i am feeding her!!!! She has had food in her ear, up her nose and in her hair before now!!

Sounds like she's just enjoying being able to move about! Got to good for strengthening those tummy muscles anyway!

OisÃn is only 3mths so I can't comment on whether the rocking is a DS trait, but Niamh is almost ten and has been a head-banger [at night in bed] and rocker since she was about 5mths old. Told by medics it was nothing to worry about and now she's older she can now tell us that it is a comfort thing. She can rock quite violently when she is stressed but if I place my hand on her shoulder [this way it doesn't make a big deal of it] she normally stops. Alot of the time she does it without realising! Hope this helps, Breige
