We are still waiting for Rachel to feed herself fuller, she pokes her food, she pushes it with the many diff spoons, forks etc we now have - very occasionally she'll manage to get some on the spoon & into her mouth. When we leave her too it , she either throws spoon & plate on floor or reverts to using her hands . Am I expecting too much ? Do you have any tips? Anything that worked for your little person ? Thanks Susan

Daniel used to use his fingers all the time and also throw things on the floor...um i'm trying to remember if we did anything wonderful to help him, but I think he just realised he could eat more things with a spoon and fork!! i'm pretty sure that we made it clear that if he threw anything in the floor then he would be finished - that worked!! And bizarrely Daniel would eat loads better if we werent watching him, so I would pootle around looking busy, pretending not to look and he would eat like a charm!!
