hi there has anyones little one got problems with very floppy ankles, when charlie stands his ankle bones very nearly touch the floor, physio has noticed them too although they have always gone in they never seemed this bad, anyhow we are off to see orthotics this morning to be measured and to make some moulds for some splints ,but i was just interested to know if this was a common problem i will let you know how we get on later love shell, charlie and jasmin xxxxx p.s i thought the piedro boots were to help this am i wrong ?
Brodie has this problem too, i have mentioned it to the paedeatrician the last couple of times but she didn't think it was anything to worry about as he had only just started walking and thought it would sort itselsf out, but i think its getting worse and seems to be affecting his balance. Think i will mention it again next time i see her. Let us know how it goes x x

hi apparently this is due to the hypermobility in most cases the piedro boots help but in a few they dont, charlie is having some gel insoles made ,these make the foot arch which should in turn keep the ankle and leg in the correct postion, i will let you know how these work when we get them thanx everyone you made me feel better again knowing it wasnt just us xxxxxx
Saul has this to. i pointed it out to my friend who is a physio and she said it was the weakened muscles. He hasn't seen the proper physio at the kids centre since he was a baby, she say's he doesn't need to. although she did see him in a P.E lesson at nursery couple of weeks back and wasn't to concerned when i mentioned it. he has the peadro shoes but as he runs he becomes more off balance and walks into walls and things. hoping it will sort itself as no-one else is to bothered
