Hi everyone. I've not been on much lately as we seem to have been so busy recently. I've definately not forgotten you all tho! lol. Also, I'd just like to say a big hello from me and Thomas to all the new members that have joined recently. I wonder if anyone can help me. We've just been given some money from the family fund for sensory toys for Thomas and I'm not sure what sort of thing to buy. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas? Also, the amount we've been given seems a bit much to spend on toys all at once. Would it be ok to keep some back for a while, say 6 months or so, until he's a bit older or does it all have to be spent at once? It says on my letter that we have to keep the receipts in case they want to see them so I'm not sure if I would be allowed to save some back? Any ideas anyone

Bubble Lamps are nice for in the room. Fibre optic ones are good too for them to touch and play. Voile curtains to play peek-a-boo. Erm.... Ask your Portage, or Physio, OT or anyone that helps with Thomas what kind of things to get. They will be more than happy to help you Not sure about the holding back thing, I spose as long as you have receipts for the full amount by the time your next application is due they will be happy. Ormaybe set up an account in his name to "Save" the remaining cash until its needed, then all you have to do is show then the statement and what receipts you have and hopefully it should match up. Oh and welcome back stranger... LOL

lol. Thanks Rilith. I was just looking at a few sensory toy websites and I don't think the money we've got will go nearly as far as I thought! lol

We were going to buy Charli a bubble tube from Rompa but when we sore the prices we knew there was no way we could afford it, we ended up buying one from argos obviously not as fancy but Charli seems to like it.
