Biting

Has anyone got any tips to stop Lucy biting? I thought she may stop after she bit herself on the leg (don't ask, its amazing what positions they can get themselves into!!), but it has had no effect at all. Her favourite people to bite are me and her big brother Ryan, though she has been known to bite other people including children. As you can imagine I would like this to stop asap. Any help you can offer would be greatly received.
Thanks in advance Nicola

ok this might not be the most politically correct remedy but......
when any of my kids went through the biting or pulling hair stage, I did the same thing to them. If they bit me then I'd bite them back, obviously not hard though.

Or the distraction technique.
When you see a situaltion arise that they would usually bite themselves try to defuse the situation by whipping out a special rare toy, and when they have calmed and not bitten the say how wonderful they are and brilliant for not biting.
Also when they do bite, say nothing. Just go and take them out of the situation, no eye contact, no talking.
Children continue things like biting and headbutting because it gets a reaction and in childrens minds any reaction is a good one!!
