George has decided that he doesn't like to drink anymore. He;s having 2 or 3 ozs of milk in the morning and about 6 or 7 before bed but thats it all day. He used to drink at least 1 or 2 cups of apple and water through the day but he won;t have anything now. I've tried other drinks both cold and warm but he just pushes the cup away or throws it on the floor without even trying it. I've also tried endless different cups and bottles. He;s now very constipated as a result of not drinking. Has anyone got any suggestions please xxx

Sorry I cant help coz I have the same problem with Gemma, she has had a really bad cold for a couple of weeks and ever since then she will hardly drink anything, I too have tried loads of cups and bottles etc. I give her milk in the morning and she will have a couple of ounces then push it away. I am giving her lots of yogurts and putting a bit of water into her food to try and get fluids into her. Her nappies still seem wet and it doesnt seem to be effecting her so I am hoping it is just a phase she is going thru. xx

When my boy's are abit constipated i make Banana and prune fool, it tastes ok.
which is 5 canned prunes 1 small ripe banana 1 tablespoon natural yogurt 1 tablespoon cream cheese all you do is whiz the prunes, banana, yoghurt and cream cheese together in a blender with 1-2 tablespoons of the juice from the canned fruit.
Yum Yum

Debs, thanks its good to know its not just George, I watered down some milk this afternoon and he drank about an ounce. His nappies are still wet too so he can;t be dehydrated, he's had loads of grapes today so hopefully that will help his constipation xx
Anita, thanks for that, I will get some prunes tomorrow and try those aswel xx

poor george what about watermelon?, lucy loves to suck on a bit of that its very messy though! When lucy suffers i water the feeds down and give sugar water, usually does the trick eventually. Hope he feels better and things start moving soon x

Oh yes it's a phase - no idea why they do it! I give Caleb very sloppy food when he does it, soup and things like that. lots of liquidised fruit. That fool sounds OK, might give that a try too.
Hope he bucks up his ideas soon!

Looks like its normal behaviour for our little ones then. Hadn't thought about water melon, sounds good, he's munching on more grapes as I type xx
