hi everyone just received a letter confirming charlie has a place at our first choice nursery in september,i am starting to get a little worried now though, we have his statement through and the school are going to be looking for a one to one for him but i am not sure of their requirements for their one to ones as heather (aaliyahs mummy )is very unhappy with aaliyahs, what if they get someone we dont get on with ,cos you know yourself whether you will when you first meet them. I mentioned this to portage the other day and she said maybe i could ask to go on the interview panel, has anyone actually been on the panel for their LO, i am also worried over charlie's size ,is he going to be picked up by the lo's in his class, cos he is only just the size of about 9-12 months ohh anyway rant over just being the usual overprotective mummy and dont want him to go .

Don't worry they will probably all look after him and mother him like my dd does with Will, he is only just in size 18-24mths, she is 5. The teacher and suport worker will make sure he comes to no harm and he will probably love the attention. Will starts school nursery in sept and has just had his statement approved, he will get 10hrs a week so just half an hour each day without a support worker which is good (apparantly!).

I have postponed cameron starting nusery due to his size, i felt he would be vulnerable but then that is mainly due to the fact he isn't walking so with him crawling everwhere he is bound to get trodden on, but cameron attends a special needs playgroup and they will be keeping him on there for 5 sessions a week the school where our other son callum will be attending said that cameron can start there on a shared scheme with the playgroup once he is walking then we can see how he goes. I think where he is so small i still think of him as my little baby and he isn't he is a toddler! I must sound really bad!
Love Debbie xxx

Hi, I can relate to this one! Alex has been given a place to start nursery in August/September and like Charlie he is tiny. I bought him some stuff for his holidays and decided to go for a bigger size (12-18 mths) and the stuff drowned the pooor wee soul! I am really worried as well because he will be a year younger than all the other kids attending, apart from other special needs kids.
I am sure everything will be just fine, us mums are just made for worrying!

hi ladies we are back, on our return there was a start date for charlie to go to nursery he will start on the 6th september. jen before we went away i bought charlie a pair of shorts in a size 0-3 months lol no kidding, i still am panicking so much about his size at nursery he looked like a newborn to compared to the rest of them, and he is still crawling around most of the time and i am soooo worried about him being trodden on ,i am sure things will be fine though as you all say it's just us mums worrying !!!!!!!
