charlie has an appointment 2morrow with the orthoptist i really don't know why ? the opthalmic surgeon discharged him and said he doesn't have a lazy eye or squint so i am abit miffed as to why anyone have any ideas!!!!!!!!!! michelle xx

Aaron goes to the orthoptist/optician about every 6 months because he is borderline on being long-sighted and they just want to keep an eye on him. All children they say are naturally long-sighted, but he is a bit more than they would expect. They maybe just want to keep an eye (oops, excuse the pun!) on him just to make sure. I know that up here in Glasgow they do regular checks on Down's Syndrome Children anyway - hope this is of help to you!

hi everyone just got back from the orthoptist as you all said their just keeping an EYE lol on him apparently he has a very flat bridge of his nose this sometimes can give the appearance of a lazy eye, the folds around his eye have not matured yet so when they do his bridge should'nt look so flat so no need for a patch thanx everyone michelle
