Sorry not been on for a while
Our wee soldier has yet another obstacle.
He can't hear us unless we're directly in front of him. Never even realised.
He's being referred to get his adnoids (sp) out and at the same time grommets put in which may help if they stay in.
The operation (very minor) is in 3 months, roundabout my due date.
Never rains but it pours in this house.
So i'm a bit fragile just now, needing some cheering up.

Hi lizzymd,i know its easier said than done but try not to worry, the grommits are so easy and routine for lots of children Aaliyah has had 2 lots now the first lot was when she was 11 months old and they made a tremendous difference!!! she had the 2nd lot in feb 06,the only thing she hasnt had done is the adinoids (sp)as i was told to wait till she was 4-5 as there is a higher risk with these,as they scrape the adinoids away and there is a chance it will bleed but the risk is soooooooo small,so dont worry you will have a much happier liitle man when its all over and hopfully u would have had your new baby by then!!do you know what the baby is yet??boy or girl?? p.s i love the little captions under neath the little ones ticker ie i now weigh a lb heavier than kate moss etc!!lol

Hiya, Heather. Thanks for that really needed it, reassurance is a great pick me up.
Dunno what we're having yet. Happy with either flavour.
Ticker is funny, I saw it on a pregnancy forum

DS2 Had his adenoids out and grommets in earlier this year, he was the last one in that day so had to stop over night. When they take the adenoids out they can be a little bit sicky, don't be alarmed at it, because they will have swallowed a bit of blood and the sick comes back up really gross and freaky. He was fine by morning, he was eating and running around... albiet with a look of absolute wonder on his face cus he could hear a pin drop... LOL
I had Grommets in too, I'm bloody hard of hearing now though, Holly resonds while they do the hearing test while I am straining to hear what the hell she is responding too. Should get it checked really... LOL
