Well, Thomas had his 'BIG' Developmental Assessment yesterday afternoon. We saw his paed, HV, Speech & Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist and Physio. It wasn't nearly as scary as I thought it would be! lol.
The therapists just played with Thomas for 1/2 hr and then went out for 1/2 hr to discuss him with the paed who was watching thru a 2 way mirror.
They think that Thomas is at around 6-9 months developmentally for most things (ie moving around, sitting, picking things up etc) but they have put him at 9 months exactly for his thought processes and cognative skills! Thomas will be 9 months at the end of this month!
We are sooo pleased. We expected load of follow up appts to come from this assessment but now they are saying that Thomas has no problems and they can't really help him with anything. They want to see him again in 6 months just to see how he's getting on! Thats it! Nothing for another 6 months!
Can't tell you how relieved we are!!
