Saw the pead on thurs and his decided to keep Saul on laxatives for months until he feels things have sorted themselves out. Why can't they just check for conditions it could be, he said him self that there are several linked to downs. I know one means removing a piece of bowel, which would possibly be a little to far. but on the other hand we've had 2yrs of probs, but do we have to have another 2 before they'll look it to it further. He had mentioned before he may do blood tests but he didn't, i think some of the probs can be picked up from that so why didn't he just do it to check.
okay rant over

And (((((((((((((HUGS FOR MUM TOO)))))))))))))))
Hope it isn't another 2 years of waiting to get things sorted.
Has Saul always had bowel problems then??

it started with constipation when he was 7 months old, no laxatives worked and it took 3 months for him to get going regularily again.
The doc said if it was condition you would expect probs from birth, but baby poo is like diarroah so why would that get stuck, Sauls used to cover the room when he didn't have a nappy on.
He gets constipated every now again and it lasts for a few days at a time usually in a couple of week segments.
But it became that even though he was screaming in pain trying to squeeze, the poo was more liquidy. Which turned out to be he had a blocked bowel and the liquid was being squeezed around the lump. But i'd spent a yr telling doc's about the probs and there solution was lactalose which does nothing.

Holster only suffers the occasional bout of it. And thats enough for me. I hate it when they are bunged up. Bless.
