we are all off to our 1st meeting with the lincolnshire DS group today to celebrate it's 25 years of running, we are going to a shopping outlet type place with restaurant,play area and garden centre etc i am a bit nervous cos i have never met anyone before ,but i am sure we will have a great time, i will post any piccies later. love shell,charlie and jasmin xxxxxxx

it was good we felt slightly out of place cos all the kids were teenagers and they all knew each other, but it was still good. the group is going to be folded later in the year cos they are all retiring and there is no one willing to take over! i would love to keep it up and running but i really,really dont have the time,. The kids all received a set of silver commerative pens, engraved with the lincolnshire DS support group 25th anniversary so they have a lovely keepsake. such a shame it has to close,maybe someone will come forward before the others retire love shell,charlie and jasmin xxxxxx

Thats a pity what about starting a toddler group/school age group
Cameron and I goto one which is a toddler group and its a good chance for a chat
Pengui whos a member on here is heavily involved in ours.
Your national downs syndrome assoc may be able to help too, with expenses or funds
Its worth considering
