Right Full story of brum. We saw the doc that did the Boo Boo, he was well chuffed with how well she was looking, and how resonsive she is. I think we can safely say now there is definately no signs of brain damage. I asked him about when he would be doing the repair (AVSD part) He said that she would need the balloon catheterisation done again in 2 months time, when they do they will have a good look at her heart then and see exactly what needs to be done , and will hopefully have a better idea as to when they will start. I also asked whether or not the repair could be done in one surgery with it being an extensive AVSD (complete hole through all 4 chambers), again he would have a better idea after the next op, he is hopeful, but not certain. He briefly mentioned that if it is too bad that they can't totally repair it, not to worry cus there are plenty of other things they can do, although understandably he is reluctant to get experimental (mmmm don't blame him, otherwise I would kill him) He mentioned that more than likely it would be done around her 1st birthday... nice...not!!. Overall I do feel quite positive about it, I have a start of a timeline now, I know when some things are going to happen and I know after the op I will get more answers. Next appointment Monday 15.15, now thats one for lots and lots of questions.
