georgia now knows her shapes (circle square and triangle) and her colours (red blue green yellow pink and purple) so proud of her! Shes been learning them at her mainstreem nursery thats attached to the primary school which she will be going to in september.
Also if you draw her a circle for a face she will put the eyes nose mouth ears and hair on! Its mainly scribble but she does try to do circles for the eyes and a line for the nose but there all in the right place! Shes doing so much better since shes been going to the mainstreem school!
That's brilliant, she's so clever! We're trying to teach Brodie his colours at the moment but he's not really there yet and as for drawing - forget it it, he can do scribbles but he's just not interested, if you get out a pencil and a piece of paper he gets all stroppy! He'd much rather be throwing his toys around or climbing on things, i'm guessing it must be a boy thing! It's great that she's getting on so well at the mainstream nursery especially if she's starting school there in September.
Been thinking about your post today! I teach in reception (mainstream) and theres certainly a few children that dont know their colours or shapes yet and definitely some that cant draw faces!! So a BIG well done Georgia!! And she's not at school yet!!
