Not exactly a success! So disapointed as I was sure that Jasmine would love the swimming baths as she loves her bath time so much. She looked so cute in her little costume and arm bands. Not sure whether it was just the wrong time to take her (2 days after jabs so she was still a little out of sorts) but I think it was more the temperature. When we arrived they told me that the baby pool wasn't quite as warm as usual.... it was bloody freezing. Everytime I so much as dipped her toe in the water she screamed.... sooooo embarassing. As soon as she was warm and cosy and dressed again she was all smiles, cheeky begger!
Anyway I thought I'm getting you in the baths so today I did an extra deep bath, cooler than usual and put her arm bands on, she thought it was great fun.... hmmmm, maybe we need our own pool! lol.

awww shame! Our pool is at 34 degrees so is like a warm bath! It's great - I don't take him in cold pools! Hope she likes it better next time.

Hi Lucy,
Harrison was exactly the same when he was younger, he used to scream and cry whenever we took him to our local pool, I'm not sure if he thought the water was too cold or if it was the echoey sounds and the noise of other children splashing around. He loves going in the pool now, they have a hydrotherapy pool at his nursery which is lovely and warm and he goes in there most weeks and loves it. He really enjoyed going in the pool when we were on our hols in the summer too. I'm sure Jasmine will get used to it, it may just take a little time. I bet she looked so cute in her swimming cossie and arm bands xx
