Thanks for this..... It does worry me that James is so far behind, we have been told even for a downschild he is behind. He is 22 months and has been comando crawling for about a month now. He drinks from a cup with a spout, finger feeds and babbles. He cant stand yet, altho we keep trying!! He sometimes says Mumma & Raaraa(we think its charlotte cos he uses it around her). He wont use a spoon at all, just throws it!

Lisa was the same with a spoon...now she just passes it to me to feed her...lazy so and so lol....she feeds her self at school...but knows she can get away with it at home.
I have just realised...not sure if I mensioned it before, but, my eldest is called Charlotte, but if she was a boy, we were gonna call her James!!

How spooky with the names!! James is lazy too, if we hold out his cup for him he opens his mouth lol Not a chance, he goes thirsty till he does it himself! Mean mummy!!!!

Pmsl....bless him!
Could just be a lazy boy thing....Lisa's brother Rhys is very lazy, he's 15 months old now, and still not walking, he walks around the furniture, but not intersested in anything else, at this rate Lisa would have achieved all her milestones before him lol!

I was chatting to the head teacher of one of the primary schools I work in, she had a baby in July 06 and I had Caleb in Sept 06 - Caleb is much more advanced than her little boy as C is trying to walk and her little lad isn't bothered about anything!! Alot of it is personality. That and there is a difference between not being able to do something or just not being interested!

I wouldn't worry. My friend's kid was 5 before he walked and he is one of the most active and bright children I know who have DS. My daughter walked at about 17 months I think but I've heard that is early for a child with DS. Just like all kids they will do things at their own pace although I can more than emphasise with the worrying!
