Morning! Caleb has just started getting slightly dry skin. - which I have too! I wondered if any of you used special stuff on your babies skin - I want to use nice natural stuff not mega chemically stuff. Any suggestions?

Grace has little dry spots on her cheeks, and all I have ever used is a drop of pure putroleum jelly ( vaseline) on them every day. It works a treat, I put it on every morning after she is topped and tailed and every evening after her bath. What do you use in his bath, I mostly use INFACARE and sometimes johnsons baby bath , although I have been told that if they have sensitive skin to only use the infacare. That is what they used when she was in SCBU.
I had bought E45 for babies in a mousse form but it seems to give grace a rash, so always used the Vaseline and her skin is great now. My HV did reccommend DIPROBASE but you have to get it from the doctor.
Hope this helps

Hi Max Ask your GP for Epaderm (you may even be able to get it over the counter but it'll be free from your GP!). I use it on both my kids (my oldest used to have eczema and now suffers really dry skin!). Its an emolient and has no additives, preservatives, colours or perfumes. You can use it directly on the skin as a cream (it looks a bit like cloudy vaseline) or in the bath as an additive or even as a soap. Its fab and I recommend it to anyone. I even us it on my hands at this time of year as they get so dry.
