Hi Everyone,
Need your a help on a little thing, Grace is almost 5 months and right now doesnt really play with anything on her own. She loves her Baby gym and her bouncer and she also has a swing which she enjoys. I have bought her some little musical toys and rattles but up to now she doesnt seem interested in them much.
I would love any ideas on toys which you little ones loved at this age and any other advise on encouraging her to take interest. I will sit for ages with her playing with her toys but if I dont she doesnt seem interested.
Also as Grace is my first baby this is all so new so I dont have anything to compare her to
Any help would be greatly appreciated ?
Thanks Shirley xx

hi shirley charlie used to love hand held bells and tamborines and drums all from ELC very cheap, you can get bells that strap round their ankles so when they kick they ring , we sing loads to charlie and he copies the actions ,he loves twinkle twinkle he does all the actions but it is so funny to watch him try and do a diamond shape with his hands bless him, the speech therapist recommended using household things like whisks, sponges, little bangles ,body puffs and that sort of thing xxxxxx

got to say its noisy stuff here too - though he has spent most of today eating a giant bunny his grandad sent in the post!! Maybe these noisy toys work for boys though - best ask Rilith, Niki or Jojo.

Daniel loves all things noisy too! Any toys with cause and effect are good - so they achieve something when a button is pressed etc. He loves his maracas and shakers, and has started to bash them together. It took a while for Daniel to get the hang of stuff but he loved to watch and was clearly taking it all in at his own pace because now theres no stoppping him! Wrapping paper and bubble wrap is great (and cheap!!) too!
