Gemma had her heart check up today, and she is doing really well. We havent got to go back for another heart check up until July next year. They did comment on her weight tho. She hasnt put hardly any on for a good few months. She is 23 months and weighs 21lb 6oz. She eats really well and is full of energy, she is always on the move. I just wondered what your little ones weighed at Gemmas age. I have the Health Visitor coming out Monday, and I dont know if she is going to want to start investigating it further. I have enough appointments with Gemma without having to worry about her weight. xx

hi there well done gemma we have always had problems with charlie's weight, at 2 years he weighed 17lb 5 ounces, and now at 3 and a half he weighs 22lb , they did have him on infatrini but he had to come off it at 2 and a half, but his paed said he isnt too bothered about his weight as he was so small when he was born, and as long as he eats well he isnt worried ,he is a little gannit i cannot believe how much he eats, since he's been toddling around though he seems to have got alot thinner although he hasnt lost any weight. hope things go well with the HV i'm sure you will have nothing to worry about as you say she eats well and is full of energy. lots of love shell, charlie and jasmin xxxxxxxxx

yeah Caleb is a chunk at 23.5 lb!! he is quite tall as well though and isn't very mobile yet so is storing up energy for when he can move - at least thats what I tell myself. I was a dainty baby and toddler myself and now am a strapping great amazonian type so I wouldn't worry too much.

Holly is only 18lb or so. She has been the same weight now for over 12 months. She gets longer and skinnier Everyone we see (Professional wise) always comment on her weight, She eats fairly well and has a varied diet, just that her body burns it up so quickly Stresses me out too hun !!

They make you feel like you are starving them don't they... LOL Do you see a dietitian We have extra calorie powder we have to add to her meals and drinks but even that doesn't help.

No not at the moment, we use to when she was tiny because she was on Infitrini high calorie milk. I expect my Health Visitor will get on about me seeing one. I dont know what else we can do really. She eats really well, I think alot of it is because she doesnt sit still for more than 2 seconds at a time, she is always on the move chasing the others round. I have never seen a child crawl so fast especially when there is an open door. Lol. When Robbie was a baby they said he was overweight so cant really win. xx

The Health Visitor came out today and Gemmas put on some weight, and she is not concerned about her weight, so that has put my mind at rest, and one less thing to worry about. xx

hi claire, no she has not been on any meds for it, but i went back the docs today and said that charli was really struggling with her bowels and appeared to be in pain and that sometimes her little bottom bleeds poor darling, so they have done her a prescription for lactalose (sp) will fetch it tomorrow do you think this will help?

Yes it'll definately help her. George was given lactulose to start with when he was 3 months old but I think his body just got used to it and we kept having to increase the dose to get it to work. They changed him to movicol about 6 months ago and now only needs it every few days. Hope Charli is better on it xx ps, it may take a few days to improve if she;s really bunged up.

Holly has been on Lactulose for what feels like forever and still struggles to go Might get it changed I think On the subject of weight though, we see the dietitian on Friday and I am going to kick ass I think. Everyone has been waiting for Holly's repair op so she will have more energy and start to gain weight like she should do, but because they were not able to do the rpair she is no better off and still isn't putting on weight. Also last week she got an almighty cold and didn't eat for 4 days which SOOOOO isn't going to help her weight gain. I was really tempted to get the NG tube out and force feed her, but I had nothing to feed her... LOL Got to do something

poor holly, you must have been at your end of your tether i know i would have been! Which dietician do you see? Charli has her appointment on the 5th dec i think its with Caroline (we sore her last time) when she said it was me with the problem and that she thought i was depressed lol these professionals are all heart aint they! Charli has not put any weight on in 2 months she remains at 17lb 3 oz a little consered about it, or am i just be a paranoid mother again like the dietician thinks lol. Any how hope little Holly is starting to feel better x x
