georgia came out in a rash this morning didnt think anything of it cuz she always seems 2 have one lol. About tea time i noticed was spreading all over her face it looks like the meningitis rash (which later the doc told me it is the same rash!) so took her 2 the emergency docs and he admitted her so off we went 2 childrens ward for blood tests which she screamed the place down while they were doin it then we sat there 4 2hrs bored no telly not even offered a drink the doc came in at 10pm and said theres no reason for georgia 2 have this rash and shes probably got a viral infection and this is how she reacts to them. not long got home im starvin and gaggin 4 a cuppa lol

Awwwwwwwwwwwww Poor things, all of you. You can never be too careful with rashes like that. Although it was mega stressful for all of you I bet you would do it again in a flash just to know all is OK Hope she feels better soon babes XXXX

hi there hope georgia is better today, charlie gets a similar rash too when he gets a temperature i freak, but they say it's because he gets a temperature and he cant control his temperature so he starts to shut down, usually starts on arms and legs then his face and body and it is scary cos it is so much like the menigitis rash and doesn't disappear with a glass pressed on it.Hope your feeling less stressed today too xxxxxx

nightmare - poor you and Georgia! I'd have done exactly the same. Is this rash a thing that can happen with DS then? Or is it just one of those things?

Gemma was smothered in a rash last year, she went to A & E and they put her in quarantine coz they thought it was measles, then they decided it was a viral infection, it got worse and worse so I took her to the doctors and they said it was also viral, but I still wasnt happy so went back to the doctors the next day and they finally diagnosed Scarlet Fever. She looked horrendous and rash lasted for ages, but she wasnt really ill with it. I cant believe how long it took to actually get a diagnoses!!! XX

Its frightening, really you put your trust into doctors and what they say and half the time they dont know what they are talking about. If I had a pound for everytime I took one of my kids to the doctors and they told me it was a viral infection I would be very rich by now!! LOL. x
