Just answered on your other thread but will copy paste it here
I found out during PG about Holly having Downs and yes I was one of the unlucky ones that found out she also had heart defects.
The problem with fetal heart scans is they can't pick up on the tiny defects. So big ones they will spot and you can prepare for (well try to... LOL) smaller defects more often than not will not be picked up until baby is born. They will prolly make sure baby has a heart scan before leaving the hossie anyway, if not request one for reassurance.
Try not to worry hun.
Loads of Luck on the 16th XXXXXX

Hi Tina
They detected a problem with Harrison's heart on a scan during the pregnancy so I had him at a hospital which had a paediatric icu and there were lots of paediatricians on hand to take care of him when he came into the world.
As Rilith mentioned, once your little one arrives they'll scan the heart to make sure all is ok before coming home. Try not to worry (easier said than done I know), I'm sure they'll take good care of you at the hospital. Hope all goes well with the scan.
Take care xx

Hi Tina
I've been lucky. Found out about my babies DS during pregnancy as a result of screening bloods and then an amnio to confirm. I had to push for a more detailed scan of her heart and luckily (so far) no problems have been detected on that front. I'm 38 weeks now, getting anxious but excited. I like you am scared for Jasmine but have to be positive and deal with whatever comes our way.
Take care, Lucy x
