For tickers look for the BBcode and paste that into your signature, and for piccies on Photobucket you need to use the IMG code and paste that into your signature

I was told 1% chance but I don't know where that actually comes from! Rilith said she did some research and there hasn't been a family with more than i child with DS (except twins) for ages - I think it was Ril anyway! I'm planing on having another child - my hubby is so scared and is taking a lot of convincing but I'm not going to be so afraid of it that I'll risk not living if you know what I mean. Kimmy will be a very lucky big sis and will adore having lots and lots of ickle bubas to help you with!

i was 1 in 132 with Charli decided to have amnio thats how i knew about her ds, my consultant says im 1-in 100 this time although i have not had the tripple test this time as i would not do anything about it so didnt see the point x

when i was with the genetics i was told about a blood test that can be done when we are 17 weeks that some how gives you the ratio of the chance of another ds baby. they also said that the amnio can cause miscarriage as they are intereferring in the pregnancy.i personally wouldnt have the amnio nor the blood test if my babies are allmeant to have ds then thats thats. buts its not just my decision dp has a say also ill just beat him across the head if he comes up with the wrong one haha only joking

Hi Michelle, I spoke to a lady yesterday who is 38 with 8 (YES 8) kids and only 1 has DS - she said she was never afraid to have more which I found encouraging. If Kimmy is just tri 21 - not translocation or in any way inherited then you have small chance of having more kids with DS. There is 1 form of DS that can be inherited though, one of my friends sisters has it - they were given a 1 in 3 chance of more kids with DS - and they still went on to have 2 more "normal" kids.
