Tai Alfie Pitcher was born 15th Aug at 11:45pm weighing 7lb 5oz
He was a good boy as i asked him the night before to be born that day as daddy was off work, and then at 4am my contractions started.
My mum came round at 6pm and was going to stay the night so she could drop us at hosp and take Saul to her's when the time came. we sat down to watch a film and at 8:30pm my water broke. Arrived a thosp for 9pm was put on monitor, contractions now every 4 mins and quite strong. By 9:30pm told i was only 3cm and his head wasn't engaged so could go home or go to ward. we didn't have any transport so didn't want to go home and if i went to ward Rob would have to leave. Was offered a bath so Rob could stay with me, but had high temp so had to wait for that to go down. by 10:30pm was given gas and air, as in quite a lot of pain, but couldn't use it properly as felt to faint before the contractions peaked. At 11:25pm had to get Rob to pull emergency cord as couldn't stop pushing during contraction. MW was going to see how dilated i was but his head was already there, and 20mins later he was born.
So was very glad we decided not to go home or to the ward
The first night Saul cried when ever the baby did but now he sleeps through it, and his quite happy with him being here. He gives him hugs and kisses which are getting more gentle. yesterday he put a breast pad up his top and when Tai cried wanted to pick him up and feed him from it, lol
going to try and attach some pics
